Wage: $24 per hour

We are seeking a temporary Social Media Coordinator to help grow and strengthen our online presence, increase engagement, and support our mission of bringing herbal medicine to a wider audience.
Role Overview
The Social Media Coordinator will be responsible for executing and co-managing Wild Rose College’s social media strategy across key platforms, primarily Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. This role will focus on content creation, community engagement, audience growth, and digital marketing initiatives to enhance brand awareness, increase student enrollment, and build an active and engaged community of herbal enthusiasts.
Key Responsibilities
Social & Digital Media Management
- Co-manage and execute social media strategy for primary platforms.
- Plan, create, and schedule engaging content to build brand awareness, foster community engagement, and drive student enrollment and retention.
- Develop and implement quarterly content themes and quarterly social media calendars, ensuring a balance of educational, promotional, and engaging content.
- Monitor and respond daily to comments, direct messages, and inquiries to nurture community relationships and act as a liaison between potential students and Student Services.
- Curate and maintain a library of high-quality photos, videos, and user-generated content for strategic posting.
- Support the launch of new courses and events through well-timed social media promotions and engagement campaigns.
- Identify and collaborate with herbalists, influencers, and brands for joint giveaways, partnerships, and cross-promotions.
- Track emerging trends and social media opportunities to expand Wild Rose College’s digital reach and engagement.
Content Creation & Visual Strategy
- Utilize Canva and other design tools to create visually compelling and on-brand graphics, memes, and promotional content.
- Develop engaging short-form video content (Reels, TikToks, and Stories) to enhance audience interaction.
- Assist in creating lead magnets, shareable infographics, and video content in collaboration with the Marketing team.
Community Engagement & Growth
- Cultivate an active and engaged online community, fostering discussions, answering herbal-related questions, and encouraging user-generated content.
- Build strategic engagement strategies to encourage new student enrollment and retention.
- Actively engage with herbal and natural health communities online, building partnerships and collaborations.
- Track emerging trends and social media opportunities to expand Wild Rose College’s digital reach and engagement.
- Manage and grow the Wild Rose College affiliate program, including onboarding new affiliates, providing promotional assets, and tracking performance to optimize partnerships.
Analytics & Performance Tracking
- Monitor, track, and report social media performance metrics bi-monthly, including audience growth, engagement, and conversions.
- Analyze the effectiveness of campaigns, sales promotions, and lead generation strategies, providing insights for optimization.
- Track the growth and engagement of Wild Rose College’s direct email audience in relation to social media efforts.
Copywriting & Content Development
- Assist in developing engaging copy for social media posts, ads, email campaigns, and website content.
- Craft regular email campaigns, newsletters, and course launch promotions.
- Identify and propose monthly blog topics, recruit guest bloggers, and assist in coordinating and publishing blog content.
Administrative & Brand Management
- Maintain and oversee brand identity guidelines and editorial calendars to ensure cohesive messaging and visual consistency.
- Keep marketing assets updated, including active student testimonials, alumni highlights, and community engagement records.
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
- 2 + years of experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing (preferably in the wellness, education, or herbal industry).
- Strong understanding of Facebook, Instagram and TikTok with hands-on experience managing business accounts.
- Strong proficiency in Canva for creating branded graphics and marketing materials.
- Excellent copywriting skills with an ability to craft engaging, on-brand messaging.
- Strong community management skills with experience responding to comments, DMs, and fostering engagement.
- Knowledge of SEO and blog writing best practices.
- Experience with social media advertising (Google and Meta ads).
- Experience in tracking and analyzing social media metrics to inform content strategy.
- Passion for herbalism, wellness, and natural health, with a desire to contribute to the herbal education space.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with ActiveCampaign, WordPress, Vimeo and G-Suite
- Previous experience in an online education or holistic wellness brand.
