
Katolen Yardley
Katolen is a medical herbalist in private practice in Vancouver & Port Moody, BC; she also holds a degree in Manual Osteopathy. Katolen has interest in women’s health, skin & digestive issues & aims to provide usable tools for inspiring positive change & education for clients & students alike. For 3 terms, Katolen was the president of the British Columbia Herbalist Association from 2013-2019, & was the president of the Canadian Council of Herbalist Associations from 2017-2024. Katolen has instructed anatomy, physiology & physical assessment skills in Herbal Medicine programs within Canada, & was an adjunct professor in Botanical Medicine at a Canadian School of Naturopathic Medicine for 15 years. From 2000 until 2015, Katolen appeared monthly on nationally syndicated Global Television morning news speaking about herbal medicine & holistic health. Her book, “The Good Living Guide to Natural & Herbal Medicine” was published in 2015 & contains medicine making recipes & monographs of local medicinal plants. Katolen has been a mentor & clinic supervisor since 2008 – working with students for the American Herbalist Guild membership & various herbal schools in Canada & the UK.
