Stress is a massive health disrupter. In fact, stress (in particular chronic stress), might the *single most important* health metric to pay attention to if you want to really move the needle in your health. Growing bodies of research are proving that stress can play a part in problems such as hormone imbalance, headaches, high blood pressure, heart problems, diabetes, skin conditions, asthma, arthritis, auto-immune disease, thyroid issues, depression, and anxiety. In this workshop, we’ll dive into exactly how stress impacts the body, and why it can imbalance important body systems including hormones, heart, brain, gut and sex organs. The good news is the herbal world has some powerful herbal allies to help modulate the effects of stress, and these herbs are famously (and fondly) known as adaptogens. Come dive into this powerful category of herbs including specific herbs like Reishi, Holy Basil, Astragalus (& more!), along with their medicinal actions, doses and contraindications.
